ZACK TURNS TWO - 12/18/07

Happy Birthday to ZACK. We can't believe that he is TWO already! This year we had a joint birthday party with Zack's friend Reef (who was born the same day - and also turned 2). The party was at an indoor playground, which ended up being the PERFECT place for a bunch of 2 year olds (give or take) to play. After an hour of playing with the toys, we went downstairs to another room to eat a snack and have cupcakes. The kids were very well behaved. From the parents point of view - we felt like the party really turned out well, and that everyone had great time.

On his actual birthday we went to Chucky Cheese (again with Reef and his family). Mom at first wasn't all that excited about Chucky Cheese, but it actually was great. Zack enjoyed playing with all of the toys/games. It only takes 1 token to play a game or ride on various trucks/trains/etc. What a deal.

The day after his birthday, we took him in for his "2 year" checkup. The Dr. says Zack is growing just as he should be, which is always nice to hear. After the appt. Zack and I went to the book store. Oh boy - ZACK DISPLAYED THE TRUE MEANING OF TERRIBLE TWOS! Is it really possible to hit that fast? After I asked him to put away the car books that he was playing with, and that we were not going to be buying all ten of them, he showed some true signs of displeasure. He cried, and cried and cried as we walked through the store and up to the cash register. I almost didn't know what to do - and really wanted to laugh. I told the cashier, excuse us - Zack turned TWO yesterday. She nodded as if she truly understood.

Santa Train

Zack had a blast taking the train to go visit Santa (or Sasa). Brrrrr - it was a cold day, but a fun time!

TREE DECORATING

Tonight we decorated our tree. Zack was a big help and actually seem to really enjoy helping. Daddy would unwrapped the oranments and tell him to give them to mom to put on the tree. This worked great until he wanted to put the ornaments on himself. We were cracking up because Zack would walk up to the tree and just throw the ornament (always to the same branch.) Sometimes the ornament would stay, sometimes he would join the pile already laying on the tree skirt. (insert smile)

Thanksgiving

We had a nice Thanksgiving. Grandma Tess, Grandpa Frank, Auntie Debbie and Gladys came from California and Uncle Brent came from across the water. It was fun having them over, and it was nice that there were so many people in the house who actually like to cook. The girls did a lot of shopping. Grandma Tess bought Zack a Rudolph stuffed animal and he has been crazy about it. He likes to dance around and give his reindeer kisses. (little does he know, but daddy hunts these cute little creatures.)

Zack was also lucky to open a few of his birthday presents early. Auntie Deb and Gladys got him an easel with all of the accessories. He's quite the artist these days.

FALL LEAVES

ZACK LOVED JUMPING INTO THIS PILE OF LEAVES. MOM WOULD RAKE, THEN ZACK WOULD JUMP. ZACK WOULD RAKE, THEN MOM WOULD JUMP.

ZACK'S NEW FRIEND

My new buddy (The Bear Rug) arrived at the end of October. Daddy was thrilled! He has only been waiting for it since September 2006. I think it's pretty cool too. I heard daddy tell mama that it is much larger than he thought. Oh my! I like to pet him and put my hands in his mouth. Daddy has his prize hanging in his office and mom is very thankful for that. Come on over and check out my new friend anytime. ROAR!
